| Eric Meola will be printing guide prints for his upcoming book, Born to Run: The Unseen Photos, as well as all the exhibition prints using ImagePrint. "The accuracy
of the profiles, the absolutely neutral blacks, and the ability to drag
and drop images, are the missing link to simple, elegant, repeatable, digital
printing -- and to have gorgeous, rich, drop-dead prints with no metamerism
whatsoever is a dream come true. ImagePrint provides a real way to quickly
and easily make high quality fine art prints that rival old, conventional
processes; and the amount of control I now have over the end result is
staggering." Eric Meola |

| Dear ColorByte Software people, I heard about your software from Will Crockett's "Shoot Smarter University" as I had taken a Fuji seminar with Will some years ago. I was somewhat dubious as I know Will can be *very* picky and, frankly the price for my brand new Epson 7800 is high. However....... after wasting a day struggling with Epson's driver, and getting really awful results, I decided to give your downloadable demo a try. The bet was if your software would print the same images perfectly, on the first try, without any correction on my part, that matched the screen preview (have I qualified this enough yet???) I would quite whining about the price and buy it immediately. You nailed it. There are only two other items that have worked this well "out of the box", my Powerbooks and my Nikon's. My order was placed just about two hours ago. Thank you! Curt Reif, Owner ACME Digital Studio |

| I went into the digital age kicking and screaming. After 25 years as a
professional photographer, with a specialty in black and white, I wasn't
seeing any digital black and white prints that really excited me; then
I saw some prints made with ImagePrint. I decided digital had arrived and
dove in with both feet. With the help of John and Daniel at Colorbyte,
creating prints became a joy. And when I learned that Imageprint created
profiles designed for black and white images, I knew they were serious
about hat they were doing. No metamerism and beautiful shadow detail. Their
tint picker was head and shoulders above anything I had seen before. I
could achieve just about any look I wanted, and replicating each look was
a breeze. A split-toned print used to take hours in the darkroom; with
ImagePrint it's a matter of minutes, and you can decide where the split
is going to be. It's a beautiful thing. The ease of resizing, tiling and
creating templates makes my workflow smooth and seamless. Some photographers
have suggested it's expensive, is it worth it? I just show them a couple
of prints I've made using ImagePrint. Is it worth it? The prints they see
answer that question for me. Dan White, Dan WhitePhotography |

| I am a professional fine art photographer printing on matt paper with the
Epson 9800 printer, and I am stunned by how much better my images look
when I use the ImagePrint 6.1 instead of the Epson driver. The level of
detail, color range, and shadow tones are noticeably better when I use
the ImagePrint 6.1 and ColorByte profiles. Once the ImagePrint software
and profiles are installed, it is very easy to get a professional quality
prints with perfectly "dialed in" color. With the Epson drivers
I find it a struggle to get all the settings properly configured to get
a decent print. In addition, the amount of paper and time that I save using
ImagePrint really ads up. I have more than paid for the software with time
and material savings. Anyone who wants to achieve the ultimate in print
quality should try out ImagePrint - it really represents the state of the
art in digital printing technology. Thank you ColorByte software - please
keep up the great work! Elizabeth Carmel |

| Just writing to let you know I have been blown away by the results I am
getting with my recently purchased ImagePrint for the Epson 4800. Aspects
of your product I was particularly impressed with include the balance you
have struck between ease of use and control over the printing process.
While there is a small learning curve to getting up and running, it is
a relatively straight forward process. Your video tutorial was quite helpful
in this regard and the manual is quite comprehensive. As a user, you have
the option of setting up and printing “as is” or exerting more control
over the printing process with the tool set that is provided. Finally,
the number and quality of color profiles provided with the program are
beyond anything I have experienced before. I have never been able to get
the caliber of results with third party papers that I have been able to
achieve with your software. There is a whole new world of paper options
out there for me now. I had always resisted making this purchase in the
past, and boy have I been mistaken. Great product! Thanks. Bill Norton |

| I wanted to give some feedback on using Imageprint v6 on my Epson 4800
using the "dual black" mode. When I first received Imageprint
v6 I ran some color and grayscale images using Imageprint v6 and standard
Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks (gloss black) as a benchmark. I used Epson Premium
Luster paper. I received the modified Epson Ultrachrome Matte Black cartridge that had been modified and reprogrammed to go into the Epson 4800 Light Light Black slot. I pulled out the Light Light Black and put in the "Dual Black" Matte Black cartridge, so both blacks ar installed, similar to an Epson 4000. Using the supplied instructions, I ran through about 15 letter sized sheets to clear the Light Light Black still in the line. Of note is that the Light Light Black is really dark gray printed at 100%. Now in dual black mode, I used Imageprint to re-run the test images. I don't think anyone can tell the difference between the standard K3 inks and the "K2" dual black mode. Good think I marked the photos on the back. It is interesting to compare the struggles an associate is having with his Epson 4800 drivers to my outstanding results using Imageprint v6. I have barely started learning Imageprint, and am already getting stunning results. My associate with the Epson 4800 also has discovered the hassle and expense of switching inks. The best solution he can find is to run his old Epson 2200 with Gloss Black, and his new Epson 4800 Matte Black. I can run either Gloss Black or Matte Black at will, by merely choosing the appropriate profile in Imageprint. I can now run Luster for portrait work, or matte inks for fine art printing without the cost for changing inks. Based on the estimated ink change costs of $30-40 that I have read on the web, my Imageprint v6 will pay for itself the first year. The real benefit is the quality I can get when printing grayscale images. I had struggled to get decent grayscale images out of my old Epson 2200. The Epson drivers and K3 inks on the Epson 4800 were a vast improvement over the older 2200. I actually found out about Imageprint at an Epson Print Academy I attended. When talking to the speakers about their photos that were displayed, none of them used the Epson Drivers. They said they used Imageprint driving 7600 or 9600s. I had also read extensive Imageprint accounts by Michael Reichmann on the Luminous Landscapen web site that were very favorable. To my great satisfaction, I am now able to make the kind of outstanding prints I had seen at the Epson Print Academy in my personal lab using my Epson 4800 and Imageprint v6. I can not express how happy I am with my results in making grayscale prints. And this is using the Imageprint Dual Black inkset, which is either Matte or Glass Black and Light Black, omitting the Light Light Black. I am currently experimenting with various papers, trying to find just the right paper for my asthetic requirements. Thanks again for Imageprint v6. Bob Bender |
