	How To Buy Trident 4.0 Due to the increased number of used scanners in the marketplace and the need for those customers to be supported, Howtek has authorized ColorByte to provide software upgrades and support to any existing user or purchaser of a used scanner. All Trident software is copy protected with a protection device called a dongle. If you have purchased a used scanner with Trident and did not receive a dongle, you will not be able to use the software. Dongles are available for purchase from ColorByte Software.
