9/26/2010 - Edward Riddell Fall in Yellowstone The goal of the course will be for each student to develop a portfolio of 6 to 10 photographs taken during the workshop. In the Yellowstone workshop the last day and a half will be spent learning to produce beautiful inkjet prints in Ed’s studio at his home in Jackson Hole. Each student will then produce at least one finished print under Ed’s supervision at his studio. The print will be signed, mounted and matted using the best archival materials. During the print process students will be taught the basics of Ed’s image editing techniques and printing workflow. 10/31/2010 - The Digital Fine Print The goal of this workshop is simple: To show you how to make outstanding black-and-white and color prints consistently using a computer and desktop ink-jet printer. Both Lightroom 2 and Photoshop CS4 are used in the workflow for this workshop and to enroll you should have a basic understanding only of these applications. |

11/15/2010 - The Black-and-White Master Print We begin with a detailed study of presence in Old Master paintings and photographs. Then we devote time to learning and applying the perceptual and photographic skills necessary to achieve presence. We head out on location, and learn perceptual correction skills and tools on the computer using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop back in the digital lab.
